• 1. How much does it cost to have an animation made?
The cost of having an animation made can vary quite a bit. The big difference is in the design, the degree of movement and a bit of customization. We try to make it as easy as possible for our customers by working with fixed prices. For example, we have three packages, consisting of; Basic, Advanced and Custom animation videos. As far as design is concerned, we naturally work according to the client's corporate identity in every package.
  • 2. What is the ideal duration of an animation?
If we are talking about the ideal duration of the animation, then an animation should not last too long. And by not too long, we really don't mean too long! Just think about how long you can keep your attention on a YouTube video. 70% of viewers drop out after 1.5 minutes. Most of the animations we make are no longer than 1.5 minutes. In fact, the majority of them take between 1 minute or less. Internal messages or tutorial-like animations may take a little longer, but again we recommend keeping this relatively short. Customers regularly go wrong here. We regularly receive a 5-minute script. That's why it's important to know that a 1-minute script can be up to 140 words. You need 70 words for 30 seconds and 210 words for 1.5 minutes. To give you an idea of how many 140 words is, this paragraph, along with the three preceding paragraphs add up to 188 words. If this would be used as a script, the animation video will go towards 2 minutes.
  • 3. What is the average delivery time of an animation?
The average turnaround time to have an animation made can vary quite a bit, this largely depends on the chosen design. Or in our case, which package is chosen. For example, we maintain a lead time of 2 weeks for our basic animations (after approved script). The advanced animations have a lead time of 4 weeks (after approved script). And the custom animations have a lead time of 6 weeks (after approved script). Apart from this, we offer media packages. The turnaround time of these packages varies from 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the exact content.
  • 4. How do I write an animation script?
The content of an animation is often built according to a fixed structure. And according to this structure, the script is also written. This structure looks like this: Problem statement: Start with the problem that the target group experiences about your product or service. It is important to approach the problem from a customer perspective and not from a business perspective. Solution/ Vision: Describe your vision/solution to the problem here.Proof: Come up with arguments why your solution is the right one and how it works. Substantiate your story.Call to Action (CTA): What do you want your viewers to do after seeing the video? Downloading an infographic, referring to a website for more info, signing up for a demo etc... Do you want to know more about how to write a script? Then also read our blog
  • 5. What do you need to think about before you have an animation made?
Before you get started, it's useful to think about who the target audience is and what you want to achieve with the video. What is the subject of your animation video and what do you want the viewer to do with this information? Prepare yourself by first thinking about the following points: What is the purpose of the video? For example, do you want to inform, activate, inspire or possibly amuse the target group? Who is the target group? Internal or external, formal/informal, which "tone of voice" suits your target group? What is the central message and why is it relevant to your target audience? What 'pain' do you solve or what (latent) need do you fulfill? How are you going to solve this for them? How are you going to fulfill this pain/(latent) need? Prove the solution. What is the Call to Action (CTA)? Which action do you want to link to the animation? E.g. contact....or redirect to a web page, etc. Struggling to get this clear? Please feel free to contact us and we will help you on your way.
